NextStep Privacy Policy

First, welcome, and thank you for participating in NextStep. Our thoughts on personal information and privacy are simple, direct and will likely align with your own views. We hate pop-up windows, we hate the idea of other people having access to our personal information, we hate invasive advertisements and most of all, we HATE spam e-mail. It would be nice if we could say we can solve your spam problems, which unfortunately we can’t, but we can and do promise to never contribute to it.

Your personal information is your own. It is not ours and it should not be available to those willing to pay for access to it. As such, any information you share with us will always be protected and kept private. To help ensure this, we require that you first register your NextStep account with a valid business e-mail address and that you assign your account an eight character password with a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. We know ... one more lengthy password that you have to create, remember and enter, but remember, this password will help make the difference between a clean, empty inbox and one that is cluttered with e-mails that waste your time, space, and are often down-right gross.

Your account information

The main purpose of NextStep is to help your business fill open positions with employees that fit your needs. Your NextStep account allows you to create an employer profile with tags and other information to let potential applicants know more about your business. However, you have the ability to elect whether or not this information is available. This information will only be visible to members of colleges and universities that are currently active participants in NextStep. This information is not visible to anyone outside the NextStep community. By adding this information to your profile, it is visible, but any or all of this information can be left off your profile so that your account is entirely private. Required user information, such as name, contact info, business name, etc. will be available to students viewing your open positions. Of course, this information is only provided so that they have the ability to contact you to facilitate potential interviews, etc.

Always remember that your privacy is a great concern of ours. NextStep is a program that will not operate successfully without your participation and we know your participation will be limited if you do not find this to be a comfortable and secure environment.
